Dexter was surrendered to us on 10/20/12. He is around 2.5 years old. He is extremely loving with his people. He forgets he is a bunny dog & loves to chase squirrels. He will do better with a fenced yard with a doggie door. He is house trained, but needs to go often or he will have an accident, so a fenced yard with access to the outside will be best for him. He is afraid of the dark, so he may need someone to go outside with him at night time. He is a larger Beagle at 30-31 pounds. He does well with most other dogs, but he wants to be the one in charge of the pack. He should do ok with cats. He is very sweet, smart & loving. Dexter can be very protective of his owner when walking. He is neutered & up to date with vaccines. He is ready for his new adventure & a new home. Hours are Tues - Sat from 12-3. You must be 21 or older to adopt a pet from this shelter and supply a good vet reference. We accept cash & check with proper ID.
